I’m Michael Cannon, a Los Angeles-based portrait photographer specializing in photography for men.

What I enjoy most about photographing men is seeing the different ways they show up in front of the camera. Some arrive with a clear idea of what they want, while others have never had professional portraits taken and aren't quite sure what to expect. Either way, I enjoy helping each person figure out what works for them and creating photographs that feel natural to who they are.

I believe great portraits aren't just about having a good photo taken. They're about the ideas we bring into the session, the direction and decisions that shape the photographs, and what happens when you give yourself permission to try something different.

That's what keeps this work interesting for me. Every man brings something different into the studio, and I get to help turn that into photographs that are worth keeping.
